FAQs

All the questions you thought of (and maybe some you didn’t).

  • Nope—we don’t take insurance since tattoo removal is considered a cosmetic procedure and usually isn’t covered. That said, some folks have had luck submitting a superbill to their insurance for possible reimbursement. If you want to try that, check with your insurance company before your appointment to see if it’s an option. We keep things simple and take cash or Venmo.

  • Cost of removal is per-session, and prices vary depending on the size of your tattoo. You can check out our prices here, but we’ll also give you a quote during your consult—no pressure, no hard sell. We accept cash and Venmo for payment.

  • It depends on your goals! Most tattoos need between 5–10 sessions for complete removal, spaced about 6–8 weeks apart. Things like tattoo color, size, age, ink depth, and your skin type all play a role. We’ll chat during your consultation and give you a better idea.

  • Dark colors like black and navy are the easiest. Lighter/brighter colors like green, blue, and yellow can be trickier—but we have lasers that handle a wide range of shades.

  • No worries—we’ve got experience with all skin types. For sensitive skin, we go a little slower and check in often to make sure you’re comfortable. If you’ve got more melanin-rich skin, we use specific laser settings designed to safely target ink without messing with your natural pigment. Safety first, always. We’ll talk about your skin type during your consult and customize your treatment plan.

  • Totally! Lots of people do partial removal or fading to prep for a cover-up. We can even talk to your tattoo artist to find out how much of the old tattoo should be removed before starting a cover-up (with your permission, of course).

  • Yep, a little—but it's not unbearable. Most people say it feels like a rubber band snapping or hot grease popping on your skin. It's fast, and we use an ultra-cold air chiller to help numb the area before, during, and after the procedure. (We got you.)

  • Absolutely. Want to get rid of just the name or one part of the design? We can target specific areas with precision.

  • Yes, when performed by trained professionals (like us!). We use FDA-cleared lasers, wear all the right gear, and prioritize your skin’s health at every step.
